Swara Bhaskar: My next role as a sex worker will be challenging

After playing the role of an illiterate domestic help in 'Nil Battey Sannata' which won her rave reviews, Swara Bhaskar is all set to play the role of a sex worker in the adaptation of Aditya Kripalani's 'Tikli and Laxmi Bomb'. The story revolves around two sex workers who decided to form a co-operative to take on the patriarchy. Swara was quoted as saying that she will be playing the role of 22-year-old Tikli while Marathi actress Vibhavari Deshpande will play Laxmi's character in the movie.'The role will definitely be a challenging one, and I have to really put in my best to lend it authenticity,' says the actress.

The movie, which has been crowd-funded, will go on floor early next year. According to Swara, Aditya asked her to read the story first before deciding to do the role. 'I was really impressed by the story and didn't think twice before giving my nod. The story poignantly captures the lives of sex workers in all its honesty and candour,' says the actress.
