MU Degree Part-II exams postponed

Patna: St Joseph’s Convent High School will remain closed on Tuesday while Magadh University (MU) has postponed the ongoing Degree Part-II examinations due to floodwaters in various localities of Patna district. SJC’s Class X geography examination scheduled on August 23 will now be held on August 30. The decisions were taken on the Patna DM’s directive.The university postponed the examinations slated to be held from August 23 to 29, said MU pro-VC Kriteshwar Prasad.
According to Prasad, most of the students living in ‘diara’ areas of Danapur are not in a position to appear at their university examinations. Those who failed to turn up on Monday due to flood would be given another chance to appear at the examinations, he said, adding that the university would soon announce examination dates for the postponed papers.
He said an emergency meeting has been called at the university headquarters in Bodh Gaya on Tuesday to take stock of the Degree examinations as well as to work out details about holding fresh examinations soon.
