AHMEDABAD: Discovery of the stabbed body of a 21-year-old youth from behind a tin shade of MEGA metro rail project on Saturday morning led to the public voicing dissatisfaction with law and order situation in Sabarmati. Locals demanded immediate appointment of an inspector - the post has been lying vacant for nearly a month at the police station. Two murders have taken place in the area within the same period.
It was not police, but early morning passersby, who had noticed the body of Jagdish Parmar, 21, lying with six to seven stab wounds on his neck and torso near the crossroads in Chharanagar, Acher Road. Chunda Parmar, 60, resident of Behrampura, registered a complaint over the murder of his nephew, Jagdish. "Jagdish worked as a delivery boy with a Sabarmati-based gas agency. His mother Jema is a daily wager at Jamalpur flower market, and his father has passed away. He was the fourth child of his parents," said an investigator. The deceased was a resident of Sat Keval Nagar in Sabarmati. Police suspect personal enmity behind the murder.
Jemaben, Jagdish's mother was informed by a relative at 7.30 am when he saw a crowd at metro rail project shade and recognized the victim," said an investigator.
