COLVA: The Margao sessions court granted conditional bail to two accused arrested for being part of a gang that tried to commit dacoity in 2015 in Chinchinim.
Lira Cardozo from Chinchinim had lodged a complaint with the Cuncolim police that in November 2015, accused Rohan Oliveira from Sarzora, Prashant Shetty, Mahendra Pawar, Suresh Yedge along with Sunil Rathod and Ashish Gore, natives of Mumbai, attempted to rob her residence.

When she raised an alarm, all the accused fled from the scene. They were absconding since then. Cuncolim police however managed to nab four of the six namely Prashant, Mahendra, Ashish and Suresh.
Police claimed that Sunil had surfaced in Fatorpa and they managed to arrest him on August 15. Upon interrogation he disclosed the whereabouts of Rohan Oliveira, who was also arrested.
Principal sessions court judge, Desmond D’Costa directed them to be released upon furnishing a bond of 20,000 each and a surety in the like amount.
