Sivakarthikeyan and director Ponram are joining hands again for another commercial entertainer — and this time Siva is paired opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In a chat with DC, Ponram shares a few tidbits about his future project — “The film will be another commercial entertainer and for the first time, this lead combo will be joining hands.”
When asked about whether Samantha is playing a rural girl in the film, Ponram says, “The film is set in a semi-urban area and Samantha will be a girl from that locality. However, it is not a rural girl role. But it is something she hasn’t done before though.”
The film marks the third collaboration of Ponram, Soori and Sivakarthikeyan, and the director says it is very comforting to work with the Ethir Neechal actor — “I am very comfortable in working with him and Soori. It is more fun on the sets.”
He further adds, “The film, will be like our previous ventures, but there will be more action sequences. You can’t call it a full-fledged comedy film like Rajini Murugan —It will have all the flavours of an entertainer.” 24 AM Studio is bankrolling the project, while D Imman will compose the music for the film, which is all set to go on floors in January 2017.
