Balaji joins Mohan Raja's next film
We had earlier reported that Fahad Faasil has been roped in to play the antagonist in Mohan Raja's film, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara. The latest addition to the team is RJ Balaji. 'This time, I am not playing a dumb guy who cracks jokes and punch dialogues. My character will have intelligent humour that people can easily relate to. It won't be preachy, yet will be interesting,' says Balaji, who will be seen working with Sivakarthikeyan for the first time.
'I am excited to work with Siva who is good with comedy. It will be fun to watch how both of us merge our comic sense. It will be a blast, I hope. Also, Mohan Raja is at his peak of his career, and I am happy to work with him,' he says.
On Mani Ratnam's project, Kaatru Veliyidai, he says, 'I am playing an important character, and I cannot reveal more than that. A few scenes of mine are yet to be shot. Going to the set of Kaatru Veliyidai is amusing because I get to spend ten hours of my time with Mani Ratnam sir, and learn a lot from him. After Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, I became quite serious about movies and wanted to explore more. What's better than learning from such a stalwart?,' he says.
