The district administration  Poonch today reviewed the arrangements for 2 –day annul Urs of Ziyarat Sain Mira Baksh, which is commencing  from August 30. The review meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman Legislative Council, Jahangir  Hussain Mir, MLA Haveli Shah Mohammad Tantray & Deputy commissioner Poonch Mohammad Harun Malik. The meeting took a detailed review of arrangements being put in place for the convenience of visiting devotees- who come in large numbers to pay obeisance at the revered shrine of Sain Mira Baksh Sahib. Keeping in view huge rush of devotees expected this year, the concerned departments were asked to put in their best efforts to ensure smooth conduct of the annual Urs Shrief.The meeting was also attended by senior police and civil officers.The police department was asked to make adequate security arrangements and ensure smooth traffic movement during the Urs days, while Public Work Department was directed to   start repair of Serrel to Guntrian road.

The meeting also finalized the arrangements for power and water supply, medical and other facilities. The ARTO was asked to draw a requirement plan of additional vehicles in advance and disseminate the same to the public by any best means. He was also asked to provide additional bus service at Nangali sahib & Kankote on Poonch-Mandi Surnkote road. Earlier the administrator of Sain Meira trust briefed the meeting about the important issues & requirements to be met for the smooth conduct of the annual Urs. He also sought the cooperation of district administration for eviction of encroachments around the premises of the shrine. The DC issued on spot instructions to additional deputy commissioner for the required necessary action and constituted a committee for stopping encroachments in future.Speaking on the occasion the deputy chairman LC & MLA Haveli asked the district administration to ensure elaborate arrangement well in time & ensure best facilities for the visiting devotees.
