Family injured after 3 trees fall on hut

Dhanbad: A family of four, who lived near the Railway Protection Security Force (RPSF) training centre, sustained injuries after three trees fell on their hut after torrential rain lashed the area. Bhola Handi (55), a sweeper, his wife and two children were sleeping when the incident occurred. None of the family members where severely injured.
In Daltonganj, A female bison and her cub died during heavy rain at Nunahi in the core area of the Palamu tiger reserve (PTR) on Thursday night.Sources said, the female bison was in labour pain for long and could not bear the heavy rain at the time of the delivery. DFO core A K Mishra has confirmed the casualties of the female bison and her new born cub. Mishra said a postmortem would be carried out and the bisons would be given a silent burial in the tiger reserve where she died.
