One-year-old electrocuted in Kasarwadi

PUNE: Surya Sharanappa Talwar, a one-year-old boy, was electrocuted at his Javalkarnagar home in Kasarwadi early on Friday morning.
Investigation revealed that the accident occurred after electric current passed into an iron showcase through a faulty bulb holder. While playing, Surya came in contact with the showcase leading to the tragedy.
According to the Bhosari police, said that the incident occurred around 7am, when Surya's father was sleeping and his mother was cooking.
When Surya touched the showcase, he suffered an electric shock and fainted.
The boy was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors, police said. Surya's father is works as labourer, while his mother is a housewife. The police have registered a case of accidental death.
