It was double celebrations for Indigo Indian Asian Restaurant as it marked its 9th anniversary as well as given recognition for Superior Service by TripAdvisor.

The restaurant at Port Denarau is owned by Jack’s of Fiji restaurants.

A statement said: “TripAdvisor was thrilled to announce that Indigo Indian Asian Restaurant has been selected for the 2016 Certificate of Excellence, reflecting the consistently great reviews earned on Trip Advisor.”

Jack’s Restaurant Limited Operations manager, Vishal Sami, said every year there have been a lot of challenges.

“At Indigo, we manage to overcome it. We believe that Indigo is among one of the best Indian restaurant in the country at this stage,” he said.

Special guest Ziya Khan and her family have been a regular dinning at the eatery three times a week.

She said: “When Fiji comes to mind, then the thoughts of relaxation and comfort comes to mind.

“By relaxation and comfort, we mean being home which is what we feel at indigo.

“The varieties of food, gives our tongues different types of pleasures, the friendly staff, and their professional services have been satisfying us for the past nine years.”

Ms Khan said they have suggested a lot of their relatives from abroad to dine at Indigo, and always got a positive response towards the services provided.

Others have commended as ‘Lovely food, great service’ and ‘outstanding Indian’.

Indigo employs 35 staff with 18 front line and 17 at the back of the house and two expatriate chefs from India.
