UP BJP questions about Nagla Fatela electricity controversy

Lucknow, Aug 19 (UNI) Alleging mis-appropriation of funds under the Deendayal Upadhaya electrification project, Uttar Pradesh BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya today said the state government has misled the Union government about electrification in Nagla Fatela village of Hathras and chief minister should take action against the erring official.
''If the said village was electrified and it had poles and wires, why villagers were not getting electricity for 25 years? The state government should clarify whether the village is electrified or not,” Mr Maurya said while speaking to reporters here today.
He said that wrong report raises question about mis-appropriation of funds under Deendayal Upadhaya electrification scheme. “Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav should fix responsibility and take action against the guilty officials,” he added.
