AAP to file defamation case against leader

CHANDIGARH: AAP legal cell head Himmat Singh Shergill and party leader Jasbir Singh Bir on Thursday said the party would file criminal and defamation cases against a member of the party's national council Pavitar Singh and his wife for alleging that the party leaders had demanded Rs 50 lakh 'donation' to award ticket to Kaur from Phillaur constituency.Shergill said the party will not succumb to pressure from anyone to award ticket and it was natural for a disgruntled people to make false allegations after being denied candidature.
