Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM), an alliance of various Madhes-centric parties agitating for broader rights of Madhesis in the new constitution, has welcomed the government decision pertaining to the issues of Madhes agitation last year. 

The Cabinet on Thursday decided to grant martyr status to 52 protesters and security personnel killed during Madhes agitation, form a panel to probe into incidents of Madhes protest, and provide Rs 1 million each to the families of 52 victims of Madhes movement, among others.

"The implementation of our preconditions is a good move and wish that other works be carried out soon," said Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato. "We expect the talks will begin soon regarding on our political demands."
