Man drowns in Hathni Mata waterfall

VADODARA: A 24-year-old man drowned after falling into the famous Hathni Mata fall near Pavagadh on Monday. His body was fished out late in the evening on Tuesday.
According to sources, Vijaysinh Parmar (24) had gone to visit the falls along with his friends. They bathed together in the fall and Parmar then climbed on a rock near by. A couple of his friends had seen him standing on the rock, but later found him missing.
When he was no where to be seen, they first rushed to Parmar's residence at Dudhapura in Ghoghamba taluka of Panchmahal district.His relatives told them that Parmar had not returned. The friends then approached the police that went to the spot along with some locals who were expert at diving.
Parmar's body was found after a lot of efforts as he was trapped inside a cavity at the bottom of the waterfall.
