NCPA Flashback series presents Mrinal Sen’s 1969 film Bhuvan Shome. Our protagonist is a lonely widower, but a proud old man and a disciplinarian. A day’s exposure to a host of alien situations deepens his sense of loneliness. He realises he has no escape from the world that he has built for himself. The screening is free, but seating is on a first-come first-served basis.
