Colorado Mesa Adds 27

Colorado Mesa University swimming and diving coach Geoff Hanson announced that 27 student-athletes (16 men, 11 women) will join the program for the 2016-17 season.

"I am extremely excited to welcome this high quality group of swimmers and divers to the Colorado Mesa University swimming and diving family," said head coach Geoff Hanson. "These student-athletes, both freshmen and transfers, will make a big impact on our program in the classroom and in the pool immediately. We are poised to take the next step in the conference and at the national level when these newcomers join the great group of returning Mavs in just a couple of weeks."

Hanson also announced that former CMU All-American Justin Hastings will serve as an assistant coach with the program.

"I am also very pleased to have Justin Hastings coming on as the assistant swimming coach," said Geoff Hanson. "His passion and knowledge of our sport are going to be a huge asset, and his commitment to CMU as his alma mater is fantastic."
