Daughter too held for couple’s murder in Bambwad

NOIDA: Two days after a 35-year-old man was arrested for the murder of a couple, the police have arrested the daughter of the couple for helping the accused. According to police, Komal (18), daughter of victims Ved Prakash and Vimlesh, of Bambwad village of Badalpur, was involved in their killing and had assisted the key accused Pramod in the murder to get married to him. Pramod ran an electronics shop and was having illicit relations with Komal for the past 3-4 months, police said.
“Komal wanted to marry Pramod who used to run a shop near her residence.During her interrogation, Komal told police that she knew that her parents would not allow her to marry Pramod as he is twice of her age,” said police.
On the night of August 1, when her four-year-old brother fell ill, she decided to kill her father with the help of Pramod and his servant Salman,” said VK Pandey, incharge, Badalpur police station. After her statement was recorded in the presence of magistrate, she was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
“They had dumped Prakash’s body in a canal and Vimlesh body in an open field in Rabupura area. In the postmortem, drugging has not been confirmed. The reason for death is asphyxiation caused due to strangulation,” said Pandey.
