Patient dies after forces allegedly stop him from going to hospital in Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 17 (UNI) A 65-year-old patient died after he was allegedly stopped by security forces at Bemina Byepass from going to a hospital in Srinagar, where curfew continued to remain in force for the sixth successive day today.
"We were on way from Karipora in Budgam to JVC hospital with a patient, Ali Mohammad, who was in need of specialised medical care, last evening. But, we were stopped at Bemina bypass, which is less than a km from JVC hospital, by security forces," the relatives of the patient, who died this morning, alleged.
"We informed them that we had a patient on-board our vehicle, who was ill. However, they didn’t listen to us and directed us to return," they alleged.
