Koenigsegg Agera XS bound for the US, makes 1,160hp from a bi-turbo V8!

With this, Koenigsegg could probably replace both Lamborghini and Pagani for the wackiest hypercar manufacturer title in the world. The latest act of Swedish lunacy is the debut of the Koenigsegg Agera XS hypercar – the Agera RS based hypercar with additional creature comforts catered specifically for the North American market.

The Agera XS’ exterior receives the bright and attractive “Karosserie Orange” hue with a diamond-dust metallic effect. In line with the American’s taste for everything big, the Agera XS receives Koenigsegg’s largest carbon fibre rear wing which looks similar to the one strapped to the rear of the One:1.

The bright orange theme continues on the inside to contrast with the black Alcantara upholstery. Among new interior goodies are smart airbags, climate control, Apple CarPlay, electric seats, and a hydraulic lifting system.

Mechanically, the Agera XS retains the same powertrain with the RS. Meaning, the 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 stays, producing a mad 1,160 hp, all delivered to the rear wheels through a seven-speed paddle shift gearbox. The Agera XS is also equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, active aerodynamics and adaptive dampers.koenigsegg-xs-6

This road-legal Agera XS marks Koenigsegg’s pivotal return to the North American market and will make its debut together with the maniacal Regera RS at Monterey Car Week in the United States.
