WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CounterTack today announced the appointment of Matthew Addington to Executive Vice President of Federal Business. Matthew will be responsible for overseeing CounterTack’s global federal business and managing the strategic growth of the sector.

Matthew comes to CounterTack with a wealth of federal experience, an extensive background in information sharing, and a deep understanding of the essential role of securing systems and data in the government sector. For more than 25 years, he served in a number of operational and leadership roles supporting global US Intelligence efforts and federal law enforcement. As part of his distinguished government career, he was a member of the Senior Executive Service, assigned as the Director of the El Paso Intelligence Center where he provided executive leadership to approximately 500 personnel from 28 participating agencies. Most recently, Matthew applied his federal experience to Giant Oak, Inc. where he served as the Vice President and Director of Applied Domains. In this role, he helped deploy frontline tools to securely search the deep and dark web to meet national security requirements. Before Giant Oak, he was the Director of Strategy and Business Development at Blackbird Technologies (acquired by Raytheon).
