Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Aug 16 2016 6:14PM Odisha asks Centre to include 5 more areas under Rurban MissionBhubaneswar, Aug 16 (UNI) The Odisha government today requested the Centre to include five more areas of the state under the Rurban Mission and approved an investment proposal of Rs 500 crore for the purpose. A high-level meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary A P Padhi decided to include Khalikote in Ganjam district, Bheden in Baragarh district, Umerkote in Nabarangpur district, Kothagarha in Kandhamal and Tusasara area in Bolangir district under the Rurban Mission. If included under the mission, each area would be declared as a planning zone and facilities like communication, piped drinking water, digital connectivity, financial schemes for creating employment opportunities, irrigation, electricity supply, health care facilities would be developed on priority basis.
