Breakaway HLP leader digs on chargesheet; terms BJP-HLP merger 'unethical'

Shimla, Aug 16 (UNI) Two days after the merger of BJP-Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP), a fierce verbal dual started between break away HLP leader Mahindernath Sofat and merged HLP leader Maheshwer Singh as the former took dig on the 125 points chargesheet prepared by HLP on its overture from the BJP, accusing the previous Prem Kumar Dhumal regime of rampant corruption in 2012.
Mr Sofat, former transport minister in the Shanta Kumar regime and currently leader of break away HLP, today made a scathing assault on the leader through his Facebook account, terming the merger against the principles of HLP formation.
Mr Sofat alleged that it was ridiculous that Mr Singh joined hands with Prof Dhumal on August 14 at BJP party sammelan at Dhalpur ground but the former did not bother to explain the real reason of split and merger of the two party.
