Andrew Zimmern’s Driven By Food
Travel, 9 ET/PT

Andrew Zimmern in Rio de Janeiro for his new show 'Driven by Food' on Travel.

At the Rio Olympics, NBC will be airing track and field, beach volleyball and women’s gymnastics apparatus finals (8 ET/PT). But if you want to see Rio itself, you can follow “culinary explorer” Andrew Zimmern as he asks a cab driver to take him on a tour of Rio’s best places to eat — emphasizing the places where the locals themselves eat.

Elvis Lives!
AXS, 9 ET/6 PT

The film production company behind the Sharknado films now gives Mark Cuban’s AXS its first made-for-TV movie. Jonathan Nation stars as Elvis in this “what-if” fantasy set in a world where the drug-addicted singer agrees to help the FBI take on a crime syndicate — and then must find a way to save himself and his family.

Lucifer
Fox, 9 ET/PT

One of the more interesting, and sometimes painful, processes any new series faces is trying to find itself. That effort sometimes produces wrong-turn stumbles like this early episode, which started the show’s slow slog through satanic mythology and pushed Lucifer (Tom Ellis) from snidely amusing to annoying. But look closely and you’ll still see enough promise in the premise, and talent in the cast, to make you hope the show can find a firmer footing when it returns this fall.
