HealthyBees Receives Favorable and Promising Review from Independent Scientific Study performed by the University of Maryland
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla (PRWEB) August 15, 2016 -- HealthyBees, LLC., the worldwide manufacturer and distributor of BeesVita Plus™, announced that the University of Maryland (UMD)- College Park, MD.has recently completed an in depth scientific study seeking to confirm how and or why BeesVita Plus appears to improve honeybee health. The method used includes investigating the whole-genome transcriptome and the honey bee fat bodies under BeesVita Plus ( BVP) nutrition. The UMD team was led by Dr. Dennis vanEngelsdorp – and Dr. Humberto Boncristiani.
The highly respected entomologist team of the UMD finalized an initial detailed report with data corroborating use of BVP and enhanced bee metabolism for honeybees. The real world implications are increased immunity could potentially result in less susceptibility to pesticides and viruses thereby increasing their lifecycle and productivity.
The study conducted by UMD tested the effect food supplementation had on bee gene expression. The study also confirmed that the BVP diet enhanced the bee metabolism on many different levels.
Dr. Francesca del Vecchio, Ph.D., Chief Scientist for Healthybees, and inventor of the BeesVita Product (BVP) stated “ I am extremely pleased because the independent study is a step forward validating the effectiveness of the BVP supplement; and that there was significant unique and credible increases of the two fundamental immune genes, humoral defense pathway and cellular immune defense pathways genes.”
HealthyBees believes that there is no other bees food supplement product, chemical or organic, on the market today providing similar verifiable results.
Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) is the mass disappearance of honey bee colonies. Honeybees are important pollinators for both flowers and agricultural crops. Without bees to pollinate many popular fruit and vegetables, the United States alone could lose $15 billion worth of crops. Nearly one-third of all honeybee colonies in the country have vanished, never to return. The latest data, from the 2012-2013 winter, indicate an average loss of 45.1 percent of hives across all U.S. beekeepers, up 78.2 percent from the previous winter, and a total loss of 31.1 percent of commercial hives, on par with the last six years.
