Vionic has a new president of global business. The shoe brand has poached Connie Rishwain, former president of Ugg, for the role.
In her new role, Rishwain will oversee product, marketing and sales. She will also join its board. Rishwain will report to Vionic chief executive officer Chris Gallagher. She begins her new role today.
Rishwain had served at the helm of Ugg since 1995. In April she had revealed that she would be abdicating her post to “spend more time with her family and pursue other interests.”
“Vionic has created a product that has resonated with consumers looking for footwear that is ‘good for you’ while delivering fashion-forward, on-trend styles. In addition they have a tremendous culture which is a reflection of the founders and the team, and greatly influenced my decision to join the Vionic family,” Rishwain said of her appointment.
“Throughout her career, Connie has delivered tremendous style to consumers and value to shareholders, and we look forward to the leadership she’ll now bring to fuel our next phase of growth. She is a great fit with our culture and we’re thrilled to have her with us on the Vionic adventure,” Gallagher said.
