Kashmir issue cannot be solved through bullets, says Advisor to PM on Foreign Affairs

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Advisor to the Prime Minister (PM) on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz stated on Monday that the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tried to divert global attention from the atrocities being committed in Kashmir through his Independence Day speech, reported Dunya News.

Sartaj Aziz said that a political solution of the Kashmir issue needs to be traced out as the matter cannot be resolved through bullets. While reacting upon Modi’s speech, Sartaj stated that the Indian forces had killed 70 innocent Kashmiris during the past five months whereas over six thousand had been injured.

Foreign affairs advisor stated that curfew was in effect in the occupied valley since the past 70 days whereas media was also blacked out. He further added that the mentioning of Balochistan in the Indian PM’s speech hinted about India’s intervention in the province.

Sartaj said that India was promoting terrorism in Balochistan through its intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). He stated that a country big enough in size cannot become great on its own.
