Monica Lewinsky tweets tribute to bullied teen who committed suicide

Monica Lewinsky is torn up over the death of a 13-year-old Staten Island boy who was bullied into committing suicide, she said Monday.

Lewinsky, a self-proclaimed anti-bullying activist, tweeted condolences for the family of 13-year-old Daniel Fitzpatrick, who was found dead in his family home Thursday.

“RIP daniel; condolences to his family. we need to listen + care more,” Lewinsky tweeted along with a “heartbroken” emoji.

Fitzpatrick was cruelly bullied over his weight and grades at Holy Angels Catholic Academy, his family has said. The tormented teen hanged himself in the attic of his family home.

Lewinsky has claimed in the past that she became the victim of torturous bullying after her sex scandal with former President Bill Clinton.

“In 1998, I lost my reputation and my dignity, I lost almost everything, and I almost lost my life. I was branded as a tart, slut, whore, bimbo, floozy and of course ‘that woman,’ I was seen by many but truly known by few,” she told People magazine.

Lewinsky began her fight against bullying after 18-year-old Tyler Clementi — whose college roommate secretly filmed him having sex with a man — killed himself by jumping off the George Washington Bridge in 2010.
