New Health policy soon, says Rameshkumar

Health and Family Welfare Minister and district in-charge K.R. Rameshkumar has said the State government will soon announce its health policy.

He was addressing 70th Independence Day celebrations at district Sir M. Visveswaraya Satidum here on Monday.

The new health policy aims at protecting the interests of poor people, Mr. Kumar said.

Availability of adequate medicines will be ensured at all the government hospitals, he said. Government hospitals will be upgraded to provide better health care to people, the minister said.

A government medical college will be started in Kolar, he said.

Steps will be taken to streamline the conditions in the hostels in the district, he said.
