Naidu urges people to help develop State on all fronts

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today urged the people to cooperate with his government for all-round development of the State and his government would mount pressure on the Centre to get last paise as promised by it.

Speaking after unfurling the national tricolor at Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy grounds on the occasion of 70th Independence Day, the Chief Minister said his government was committed to take measures for welfare of all section of people and will ensure there would no injustice to the State. He reiterated that by 2022, the State would be developed into one of top States in the country. The GDP rate of the State was 7.5 per cent which has now increased to 10.99 per cent. After Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh stood third and the State was attracting investment and business environment, he added.

Criticizing the Congress for bifurcation, the TDP national president said the way the State was divided is an affront to the Telugu people. The bifurcation of united Andhra Pradesh was announced on birth day of Sonia Gandhi and Italy Republic Day on June 2. A great injustice was done to the State as it was bifurcated with political reasons and unscientifically.

Naidu expressed concern that the State was divided without a capital and people left in the lurch with hasty decision of the Centre led by Congress party. (NSS)
