Several major announcements for Morbi by CM Rupani, Rs 2.07 per unit cut in PNG one of them

Morbi: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today on the occasion of State level Independence Day function in Morbi delivered several good news for locals.

– Ceramic industries in Morbi have given global identity and glory to Morbi. The government will start skill upgradation center here in attempt to give new direction to industries through skill oriented training.

– A new industrial estate will be developed ovet 50 hectare land at Chhatar-Mitana of Morbi for Micro, Small and Medium scale Enterprises(MSME).

– Industrial units in Morbi that are supplied Piped Natural Gas(PNG) for industrial use will be availed Rs 2.07 cut per unit. More industrial units will start using PNG with this decision. It will trigger environment-friendly production.

– Rajkot – Morbi highway is 65 km long and 10 meter in width. The State government will allocate Rs 275 croe fund for its four lanning.

– To ensure quality power to towns/city and agriculture sector, two substations 132 KW each and 8 sub stations 66 KW each will be erect by March next year. There are 80 sub stations in Morbi district at present.

– Morbi district will get three Primary Health Centers(PHCs) this year. They are already approved. While two will come up in Halvad taluka, 1 will come up in Tankara taluka.

– The government had announced Morbi Wankaner Urban Development Authority(MWUDA) covering 350 suare km area in year 2012 and released its draft development maps. After representations by local citizens, MWUDA has been limited to Morbi Wankaner Trajpar Madhapar and Lilipar.

– The Chief Minister handed over Rs 2.5 crore cheque to Collector and another cheque of same ammount to District Development Officer(DDO) for development works.

Chief Minister had yesterday launched works for Rs 150 crore water supply project, Rs 59 crore treatment plant, construction of district panchayat complex. He also dedicated Rs 111 crore underground gutter project and district collector office building. A day ago, he had dedicated CCTV network and its control room and several other facilities.

Various development projects are bring kicked off for last 15 days in various functions across the Morbi district ahead of Independence Day.

It was then Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to celebrate Independence Day and Republic Day functions at district headquarters instead of capital Gandhinagar. Dozens of development projects are inaugurated and works are launched for other projects ahead of such functions in district.
