A Brazilian hen party hilariously gatecrashed BBC's Olympic coverage
A Brazilian hen party stole the show during BBC’s coverage of the Rio Olympics as they celebrated an upcoming wedding.
The group of women were singing and dancing along the streets of Rio when they came across Dan Walker reporting on the day’s sporting events.
Instead of letting the crowd pass, Walker invited the elated bride-to-be, Maria, to sit with him and tell him about her wedding.
Maria told the sports journalist that she will be getting married on Copacabana Beach, which was in the background, in one month’s time.
I think this might be favourite ever interview. Couldn't resist inviting her over :) #Maria https://t.co/sXnyhJwqIc

She proceeded to say a message to her husband-to-be, with Walker saying, “I hope he’s watching BBC Four.”
After their hilarious chat, the presenter took to Twitter to reveal he had been invited to Maria’s wedding – by both herself and her mother.
“Guess what? Hen party Maria (De Cezar) has been in touch today… got an invite to the wedding!”
Maria’s mother Hercilia wrote to Walker on Facebook inviting him to come along: “I’m the mother of the bride. Very proud and happy. Come to the party, Dan! God save the queen!”

He said he thinks the interview might be his “favourite ever,” while Maria joined Twitter after the clips went viral.
“Yesterday I had a great night with my friends. My hen party was a success!” she wrote.
