Driver killed in A68 crash was 'gentle woman'

The family of a driver who died in a crash on the A68 in Midlothian has paid tribute to a "gentle woman who was loved by so many".

Rodica Pamphilon, from Ormiston in East Lothian, was killed in the collision between her Ford Fiesta and a Land Rover.

It happened south of Dalkeith at about 16:30 on 5 August. Police Scotland have appealed for witnesses.

Her family said: "We are devastated by her loss in such a tragic way."

A statement added: "She will be so dearly missed."

"Rodica was a loving and gentle woman who was loved by so many."
