The District theater troupe The Klunch will present “The Last Class: A Jazzercize Play,” this weekend at the Fringe Logan Arts Space at Trinidad Theater in Northeast.

Written by Megan Hill and directed by Margot Bordelon, the story revolves around “jazzercize” teacher Kelsea Wiggan (Miss Hill), who refuses to let go as jazzercise is faded out in favor of the Zumba. Kelsea, with a can-do attitude, aims to keep jazzercise going at Chikatawnee Valley Community Center.

“There is a natural theatricality to exercise classes that mimics dramatic structure — with a warm-up, cardio and cool down,” said Miss Hill, “where plays have exposition, climax and a denouement.”

The show runs Friday through Sunday. Tickets are available by going TheKlunch.com.
