CWG Plc Recognised as 2016 Most Valuable ICT Brand

The Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) Plc, has been recognised as the 2016 most valuable Information and Communications Technology (ICT) brand in Nigeria. The award, according to the company, was in recognition of its excellent collaborator and committed contributions to the growth of the industry.

The largest systems integration company in Sub-Saharan Africa got the recognitions at this year’s Titan of Tech awards, organised by Technology Africa in Lagos last week.

The company, which was listed on the Nigeria Stock Exchange few years ago also had its Chief Executive officer, Mr. James Agada and the Founder, Mr. Austin Okere honoured as Nigeria’s Top 50 Tech Titans.

CWG Plc and the two of its top management staff were recognised because of the immense contributions of the company towards the growth of ICT in Nigeria today and the consistent support shown towards the ICT industry, especially capacity building for the youths.

Receiving the awards on behalf of CWG Plc, the Chief Operating Officer of CWG, Mr. Kunle Ayodeji, said: “He was humbled and elated to have received the awards. He stated that it was highly gratifying to see that hard work was recognized as this allows for glorious success tales in the long run. He added that CWG being around for over 20 years, proves consistently the saying; that it is not just about how far, but how well.

Owing to the Company’s history of resilience, excellence and staff dedication, CWG Plc has won a series of other awards between the first and second quarter of 2016. Some of these awards include: ‘Commitment to Entrepreneurial Excellence’ awarded to Agada by Success Circle Africa; President’s Special Recognition award’ to CWG Plc by Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) Collaboration & Development Prize awarded to CWG Plc by Huawei; Banking Application of the Year (FINACLE) awarded to CWG Plc by Beacon of ICT. Mr. Okere was also very recently, given the NCS Presidential Award for Promotion of ICT in Nigeria.
