Kerri Walsh Jennings shuts down fan who criticized beach volleyball bikinis

RIO DE JANEIRO — Beach volleyball is in full swing here at the Olympics, and as the competitors move closer to the gold medal match, the intensity and excitement of every game, every point even, is increasing.

Apparently that isn’t the case for some viewers, though. Or at least one viewer, who doesn’t get what all the fuss is about … and apparently has a problem with the swimwear the women volleyball players compete in. So, this being 2016, he tweeted about it.

American star Kerri Walsh Jennings saw the tweet, though, and rejected it like a weak spike.

Walsh Jennings, who competed in long sleeves in her last match, is a prolific Twitter user, and suffers no fools, so it’s not surprising she shut the guy down just hours before her quarterfinal match, which will take place at 11 p.m. ET tonight.
