Chandigarh, August 14

Opposing the decision to appoint politicians as chairpersons of the Electricity Dispute Settlement Committees, AAP today alleged that the Akali Dal-BJP was misusing its powers to ‘infiltrate’ the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) with party workers and interfere in its working. AAP leader Chander Suta Dogra said the decision of the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) was illegal and against the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003, and the PSERC (Forum and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2005. — TNS
