Lucknow: There is some good news for over 20,000 passengers who commute daily between
Gorakhpur and Lucknow. On Sunday, minister of state for
Railways Manoj Sinha inaugurated the Gorakhpur-Gomtinagar Express(), a special train which will run between the two stations from Monday.
Railway officials said more than 20,000 passengers commute between
Lucknow-Gorakhpur daily. The train will halt at Campiyarganj, Anandnagar, Naugarh, Shoratganj, Barhni, Tulsipur, Jharkhandi, Balrampur, Gonda and Barabanki.
It will have at least 16 coaches, comprising an AC three tier coach, five sleeper coaches and eight general coaches, along with SLR coaches. The scheduled time of departure from
Gomtinagar will be 11.20pm. It will arrive at Gorakhpur at 7.25am. While returning , the train will arrive in Lucknow at 6.05am. tnn

Gorkhpur route will soon be electrified and the trains on this route will run at 100km/hour.
