Social security pension through banks soon

Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Rajesh Kumar Maria today said social security pensions of the beneficiaries would be disbursed into their bank accounts from this quarter ending in September.

In a communiqué issued here, he said the beneficiaries, receiving any type of pension from the Social Justice and Empowerment Department should deposit a photocopy of their bank passbook at their respective panchayat office. The ADM said the government had decided to do away with the practice of disbursing social security pensions through money orders. — OC
