Pilgrims leave for Manimahesh

BHARMOUR: Despite heavy rain and inclement weather in Chamba district, devotees made a beeline for the holy shrine of Manimahesh in mountain ranges of Bharmour tribal subdivision in Chamba district, reports said here today.

Despite heavy rain and inclement weather in Chamba district, devotees made a beeline for the holy shrine of Manimahesh in mountain ranges of Bharmour tribal subdivision in Chamba district, reports said here today.

The first batch of about 473 pilgrims was on the way from Bhadarwah (J&K) to the Manimahesh. They would take the holy dip on August 25, the sacred occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, the reports told.

Officially, the Manimahesh pilgrimage would commence on August 25, the reports further said.
