Moderate rains occurred at some places in Himachal, triggering landslides and several roads were blocked. Dharamsala in Kangra district was the wettest with 55 mm rains while Naina Devi and Kangra recorded 46 mm and 40 mm rains, respectively.

The rains have caused big damage to crops, property and houses and the losses have been estimated at Rs 457 crore. The PWD suffered maximum loss of Rs 252 crore while loss to Irrigation and Public Health and Electricity Board was pegged at Rs 98.66 crore and Rs 69.66 crore respectively. — TNS
