Raate pair
Sruthi Hariharan and
Dhananjaya will star in
Pannaga Bharana's debut directorial, which goes by the working title
Happy New Year. The film, says Pannaga, is an anthology of five stories that have a New Year's Eve theme and portrays five varied human emotions.
'Panna is a long-time friend, but I got to observe his work closely on the sets of Allamma, which was helmed by his father, TS Nagabharana. Having got a glimpse of Panna's sensibilities, I was happy when I got to know that he wanted to direct a full-fledged film.
I play the lead in a story that is high on drama and romance. It's a character of an RJ and a stand-up comedian rolled into one,' says Dhananjaya, who will once again be paired with Sruthi in this flick.
Sruthi adds that the film complies with her vision of wanting to do different cinema. '
Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu has upped the ante for me as an actor and this is a script that holds similar promise. Dhananjaya is a good friend, so our comfort level will extract better performances,' she says.
