Lt Gen Hooda appeals for calm, stresses on need to open communication lines

Srinagar, Aug 14 (UNI) Appealing to people to maintain calm and help in restoring normalcy in Kashmir valley, Northern Army Commander Lt Gen DS Hooda stressed on the need to take necessary steps to ensure adequate domination and security of the lines of communication so as to keep them open for the general public.
A Defence Ministry spokesperson here today said Lt Gen Hooda today reviewed the security situation in Kashmir during his visit to the Awantipur based Victor Force.
He said the Army Commander was briefed by Chinar Corps Commander, Lt Gen Satish Dua and other officers on the current security situation prevailing in Kashmir valley.
