Govt to formulate new industrial policy to simplify procedures to set up business ventures

Industries minister E P Jayarajan said the state government will formulate a new industrial policy which will help the traders to set up business ventures easily.

KOZHIKODE: Industries minister E P Jayarajan said the state government will formulate a new industrial policy which will help the traders to set up business ventures easily. The minister said the state government will implement a new law which will simplify the official procedures involved to get license and to avoid delay.
Addressing an interactive meeting organised by the Raising Kerala Organising Committee prior to the Raising Kerala 2016 India International exhibition to be held in December,2016 minister said the state government will introduce a single window facility to provide licence to start the business ventures.
The minister also said state government will appoint public relations officers in all the district industries centres to help the traders to set up new business ventures.
Industries minister said Kerala is suitable to set up small scale industrial ventures. He said the state government is planning a scheme which will purchase land in large scale to set up industries. He said IT incubator centres will be set up at universities to strengthen the IT industry in the state.
Beypore MLA V K C Mammed Koya presided over the function. In his presidential address V K C stressed the need of setting up of a convention centre in Kozhikode to conduct industrial exhibition.
Kerala general convener V K C Noushad presented the topic. Industries department Principal Secretary Paul Antony, district collector N Prasanth and traders and officials attended the interactive session.
