Avinash Chandra elected Lawyers Assn president

KANPUR: Avinash Chandra Bajpai and Ramji Dubey have been elected as president and general secretary of the Lawyers Association on Saturday.
Avinash Chandra defeated Ram Sewak Yadav by a margin of 114 votes in the re-polling which had held on August 12. Ramji Dubey defeated Jitendra Singh Tomar by 212 votes.
As soon as the results were declared, the followers and supporters garlanded the winners and took them on shoulders and distributed sweets.The counting for the other posts will be held on Sunday morning.
