BHOJPUR: Property worth around Rs 800,000 was destroyed in a fire at Chepuwa, Sankhuwasabha on Saturday.

According to the Biratnagar-based Eastern Regional Police Office, the fire that engulfed Dorje Ringjin Bhote's house was induced by a gas leak.

The fire was brought under control by locals and a police team deployed from the Chepuwa Police Station.

No human casualty was reported in the incident.
