A dog was killed by a carnivore, suspected to be a leopard, at Havelock Road behind St Steven’s Church in Udhagamandalam.

It was noticed by K. Chandran, a caretaker of a bungalow. It was said that on hearing the dog barking, he saw a carnivore running from the place around 1 a.m.

Forest staff inspected the place and vigil has been stepped up in the area.
