Budhanilkantha claim 'Huddle 2016'

Budhanilkantha School claimed the first Inter-school A Level Futsal Tournament 'Huddle 2016' beating Little Angels’ School 2-1 in the final played at the Samakhushi Futsal in Kathmandu on Saturday.

Vijay Pun Magar and Hemraj Aidee scored a goal each for Budhanilkantha, while Kataa netted a goal for LA in the final of the one-day tournament.

LA took lead in the match before Budhanilkantha bounced back and scored twice to seal the trophy.

Earlier, in the semi-finals, LA ousted Oriental School 3-1 on penalties after both the teams played 2-2 draw in the regular time of 20 minutes.

Similarly, Budhanilkantha defeated Kasthamandap School on sudden death. The winner was decided on penalties following the 2-2 draw in regular time and 3-3 draw in spot kick battle.

A total of 16 A-Level schools took part in the competition organised by Global Reach Syd Pte Ltd, which provides services to Nepali students for admission in international universities.

Global Reach Chief Executive Officer Narayan Bajaj and Nepal national football team's former skipper Hari Khadka handed over the winners' trophy to Budhanilkantha, while Priyanka Dewan distributed runners-up trophy to LA.

Meanwhile, CEO Bajaj informed that the prize distribution and best players' name would be announced amidst a programme on Monday.
