MANGALURU: Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management celebrated Graduation Day and conferred degrees to MBA/MCA/MTech students at Sahyadri campus.
Ghanshyam Dass, senior adviser, KPMG, who was the chief guest, shared his college day experiences. He narrated his own life experiences to uphold the importance of teachers in the lives of every student.
He took great pride to inform that Prajna A, a fourth rank holder in MBA Examinations (VTU) was a part of KPMG. He gave the example of eagle and called on the students to learn the art of living from that bird. "Its focus, willingness and far-sightedness have to be imbibed by every person in their course of life. He advised the students to stay focused and committed towards their goal and be rooted to their values and also be connected with their alma mater.
Manjunath Bhandary, chairman, Bhandary Foundation, in his introductory remarks said no institute is built by infrastructure or faculty, instead it is built by the students.
A student's success and failure is attached to the college which plays a vital role in upholding the image of the institute. He advised the graduates to stand for values in which they have been trained at college and get noticed by the management.
Prajna A was felicitated on the occasion as she had bagged the fourth rank with 79.08% in the MBA examinations conducted by VTU. She has been recruited by KPMG through campus placement.
