The police have seized three more weapons from the arrested members of terror modules busted by them few days ago.
MF Farooqui, IG, Counter Intelligence, today said the weapons were seized from Rachhpal Singh, who was arrested from Khuda Ali Sher village near Chandigarh. Farooqui said Rachhpal revealed that he was in possession of three weapons of .32- bore which he had hidden at Khuda Ali Sher. A team was sent which recovered three pistols and 15 cartridges from the spot.
The IG said a probe was being carried out to dig out information which could lead to the arrest of more persons inducted by terrorists residing abroad to create disturbance in Punjab. Other two arrested were identified as Gurpal Singh of Jalalpur Kalan and Major Singh of Veronangal village in Jalandhar.
Sources said Rachhpal was a student and was doing research in Gurmukhi and Shahmukhi Punjabi language in Chandigarh. He is double postgraduate and was inspired to take this path after Bargari incident. Gurpal came into contact with terrorists based in England after he asked his relatives for weapons as he wanted to take revenge.
