Karnataka: HAL official's daughter goes missing

Preliminary inquiry has revealed that she wanted to pursue medical, but failed in her NEET exam and was upset over it.

BENGALURU: A deputy general manager with HAL has approached Byappanahalli police and lodged a missing complaint of his 18-year-old daughter.

According to the police, Ratan Lal Saha, DGM, HAL (Design and development) had approached the jurisdictional police on Thursday evening after the family recovered a note left behind their daughter. Saha was not at home when the girl, identified as Sarbasree Saha, left the house.

Police said the incident came to light around 2.30 pm when Saha’s wife saw the note which stated, “I am sorry, I couldn’t meet up to your expectations. I tried my best to secure a medical seat, but failed. One day, I will succeed and come back then.”

Preliminary inquiry has revealed that she wanted to pursue medical, but failed in her NEET exam and was upset over it. When Sarbasree left the house she didn't take anything along with her. The family checked with friends and didn't find any lead.

When the police conducted a check, they found that she had deleted all the posts from her facebook account and didn’t even carry a mobile phone along with her. After a frantic search, Saha approached the police. Meanwhile, the senior manager has also approached the Byappanahalli Metro officials to help him with the CCTV footage of August 11.

“The police questioned the security guard about the whereabouts of Sarbasree, but he said he didn’t see her going out. At the time of incident, only her mother was present at home. Police have taken up the case and are investigating,” said a police officer. Sarbasree also has a younger sister. Byappanahalli police have registered a missing case.
